How We Do Mini Weddings
We have reserved a full day at the beautiful Northland Arboretum in Brainerd, Minnesota on Saturday, September 28, 2024 to plan four exciting mini weddings throughout the day!
There are four times slots available for each wedding. Once a deposit is received, that time will be reserved for the couple’s mini wedding package for that day.
Each wedding will include a 90 minute ceremony with reception for the couple and 18 of their guests. We will provide the venue and the complete mini wedding set up for you!

What the Day Will Look Like
The ceremony will take place in the “Creekside Room” that is located on the lower level of the arboretum.
The wedding design will include the gorgeous early fall colors of “Sunset Autumn” with a rustic touch.
To set the mood, Edison lights glow from the ceiling and large windows with beautiful nature views shine through. Included is a covered patio for you and your guests to relax and enjoy the outdoor seating area.
The wedding arch will include flowers with the autumn colors that will coordinate with the florals on the tables and throughout the venue.
There is a charming bridal room for the bride to relax, do her hair and makeup and toast to the day’s events before walking down the aisle.

What is Included in the Package
One hour consultation at the arb - Sunday, August 18, 2024:
- We provide a consultation with each couple where we will tour the venue and secure the second half of the payment. We will discuss the wedding details, decide your color choice of table runners and charger plates and have a fun wedding cake tasting!
Your mini wedding - Saturday, September 28, 2024:
- Planning, design services and set up
- Venue, tables, chairs and table coverings
- Arch, flowers, candles and signs
- Bride and Bridesmaid bouquet, two boutonnieres
- Sweetheart table with decor’
- Dessert table with decor’
- Beverages, small cake, cupcakes and mini bites
- Table settings for the couple and 18 of their guests
- Ceremony music and background music
- Unlimited access to the arb grounds for photographs
Get ready/Photos - 30 minutes
Ceremony - 15 minutes
Reception - 60 minutes
Photos (After the reception)
* You will have access to the outside grounds at the arb and are allowed to walk along the paths to take photos at your leisure. There is no time limit with taking outdoor photos. This is included in your mini wedding package

Who Can Be on the Guest List
You can invite a total of 18 guests to your wedding. There will be seating provided for the couple and 18 of your guests only. Children are welcome. There are no pets allowed at the arb.
Other Information
- A contract will need to be completed and a deposit must be paid before we can reserve your mini wedding package for you
- You will need to bring your county-issued marriage license
- The 90 minute time-frame is provided for your mini wedding
- There will be a coordinator available throughout the entire day
- The arb has beautiful paths with flowers, trees, gazebos, gardens and a waterfall for stunning photo opportunities
- There is convenient parking with handicap spaces available
- There will be signs posted to direct guests to the wedding
- There are no steps and the bathrooms are located on one level
